Rachel discovered yoga in her teens and had an on again off again relationship with yoga until she reached 30. While studying for an Advanced Diploma of Holistic Counselling, yoga was explored as a healing modality. This is when Rachel realised that there was so much more to yoga than stretching and flexibility and found that she wanted to learn as much as possible about it and that is where the learning and training began.
She became particularly interested in the field of a pre and post natal yoga after experiencing the benefits firsthand during her own pregnancy and beginnings of motherhood and has since increased her learning and experience in this area. Yoga has completely changed Rachel’s life and she loves sharing her passion for yoga with both students and teacher trainees as it gives her the chance to share the joy of yoga and provide students with the tools to move through life’s challenges with more ease.
Rachel believes that you never stop learning and those teachings can come in many forms from many places especially from students. She also believes that we should never take ourselves or life too seriously and we should never miss an opportunity to be our real whole selves because when you’re living authentically and joyfully, you encourage others to do the same.
